Volunteer Leaders

Volunteer leaders are absolutely vital to the mission of Young Life. It is their involvement that allows lives to be changed. Young Life volunteer leaders participate in a full range of activities that help them build these significant relationships with kids

Kids Need YOU

As Young Life and Wyldlife leaders enter the world of kids, they witness firsthand the reality of adolescent struggles. Young Life leaders support kids who struggle with risky behaviors, depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, and even death by suicide. ​

​Young Life believes that all kids, particularly hurting kids, need caring adults who will listen without judgment. Young Life leaders are doing this every day. They enter the world of kids and cultivate friendships. Leaders seek to give kids safe spaces to be themselves, as well an adult friend who can help them manage the pressures they face, so kids can thrive in adolescence.​

Join our team of caregivers that surround leaders with support, love, and prayer. Also help provide some of the "behind the scenes" of the ministry of Young Life.
Here are a few areas:
  • Leader Support Team

  • Childcare (for leaders)
  • Banquet and Golf Tournament

Committee

Our committee consists of faithful adults that care about kids and want them to thrive in Rapid City. By serving on Young Life committee, you'll be a critical part of helping volunteers to enter the world of kids and introduce them to Jesus.
The committee is a vital support to YL Staff and leaders at Rapid City Young Life.
